how to take your business to the next level

No matter what your business is, the question: how to take my business to the next level is probably responsible robbing you of more than one sleepless night.

Perhaps you have so many ideas that you have a difficult time choosing the best one, or maybe you feel like you have tried them all without any results to show for.

And right now, you are in place, where you feel lost because you don’t know how to solve the problem.

From my experience, what’s happening here is that in order to really go to the next level, something needs to change within you.

Something needs to change in the way you see things.

The first step is to recognize that you need to get out of your comfort zone.

And let’s be clear, nobody likes to be taken out of their comfort zone.

There is nothing like the discussions you have with yourself.

You probably know what I’m talking about and you can recognize the following question:

Shall I do it or not?

This is nothing more than an argument that occurs between your desire to succeed, and the fear of failure.

The voice of your desire to succeed should sound like this:

I have this great idea, which I’m sure that many people would be greatly interested in. In fact, people would be crazy if they didn’t realize how great this offer is.

The voice of fear sounds like this:

Are you crazy? Why is someone going to be interested in what you have to say? You’re nobody. People don’t know you and nobody is going to trust you.

The truth is we need tools to be able to hear both voices without going crazy.

Decision making is a problem that affects 98% of managers, according to Forbes.

Which voice will you listen to?

Have you ever thought about why there are times where deciding what to do is easy and, other moments where it just isn’t?

For instance, it may be that you’ve been considering that you want to have your own business; for some people, it is obvious that that is what they want, they don’t think about it too much and they just do it.

For others, it is a difficult choice to make, perhaps they’re in a stable job and leaving work requires taking a risk.

Maybe they are full of doubts and don’t know if it’s something they can do. And as a result, they don’t.

This type of situation is repeated every day in our lives.

I want you to take a few minutes and think about the following:

What are those situations in which you feel paralyzed or stuck and you naturally can’t take the next step?

Some examples of these situations may be:

1. Start your own business
2. Offer a new service
3. Make an investment to improve your services
4. Hire or fire staff
5. Invest in Marketing to promote your business

No matter which one you identify with, the challenge is what to do so you don’t feel stuck or paralyzed when making decisions.

I want to share what has helped me get clarity in those moments of indecision were all I heard was “Shall I do it or not?”.

How to take your business to the next level (in 3 simple steps)

The first step is to identify that you’re listening to three voices.

1. The first voice is the voice of the people around you

They can be your classmates or relatives. It’s important to understand that the person who’s going to take the decision is you.

Others may have the best intentions in the world. However, they’re not in your position and, although the intentions are good, in most cases they are not the best recommendations.

The other two times you are inside your mind.

2. The second voice is the voice that has crazy ideas

The voice that tells you that you should leave work, that you should invest, that you need to hire someone to help you, that you need to fire someone because they are not doing their job.

That is the voice of your intuition, and that is the voice that guides you and shows the way.

And friends, this is the voice we should hear.

Sometimes one way to hear that voice is to put your hand on your heart and just listen.

But before continuing, I want to share an infographic that illustrates: How to take my business to the next level (in 3 simple steps).

3. The third voice is the voice of fear

This is the voice that tells you that you are crazy, that you will lose everything if you dare to carry out your ideas.

It’s the voice that argues with your intuition.

The voice that does everything to keep you safe, no matter if that involves not moving forward.

To be able to hear this voice and negotiate with it is one of the most valuable skills you should develop in your business.

Otherwise, if you don’t learn to negotiate with the voice of fear, you’ll never grow, you’ll never move forward.

And you’ll have that feeling of being stuck, that makes you feel helpless and that you are not living or taking advantage of the potential you have.

Conclusion

The problem you face when answering the question: how to take my business to the next level is that it’s really difficult to go through this process alone, doubting everything you think and letting yourself be dominated by fear.

3 Mindset Shifts to go from employee to entrepreneur

One of the things I enjoy the most is that I have the opportunity to have conversations with entrepreneurs from all over the world.

I learn a lot from these conversations.

These conversations help me understand the challenges and issues that they are going through and it gives me ideas for the content that I can create to help them solve the problems they are facing.

A while ago, I noticed that there was always one question that stood out.

The question had to do with how to make better decisions.

I have to be honest, when I started receiving these questions, I was not sure how to answer them.

At first glance, it seemed almost a philosophical question

Since I specialize in online marketing I didn’t expect people asking me about how to make better decisions.

However, the questions kept coming.

So I started talking more about the marketing decisions that people make every day, the problems that occur when they do not make decisions, and even worse the problems that arise when they make the wrong decisions.

After talking about this topic for a few months, I discovered that behind this question lies a bigger problem.

Most people still have an employee mindset instead of an entrepreneur mindset

A few days ago I decided to share with entrepreneurs who are part of my community the lessons I have learned, that have helped me change my way of thinking and have had a big impact on the way I make decisions.

1.Asking the right questions

I have noticed that when we are unsure of what should be the next step or which direction we should go, it is because we are not asking ourselves the right question.

For example

Instead of asking the question: What is the probability that this will work?

Which is probably a very difficult question to answer.

Why not ask a question like the following:

Will this help me get closer to my goal?

Asking better questions is the best exercise you can do in your business, not only because it will help you make better decisions, but also because it allows you to learn and see things from a new perspective every time.

2.Learn to trust yourself

If you are reading this, it is because you have a dream. The dream of making your business grow or the dream of starting your own business. Neither of these two dreams will be possible if you do not have confidence in yourself.

Think about it, for a business to be successful it is necessary to make more good decisions than bad ones.

If this is true, for your business to be successful, you need to learn to make those decisions.

If you want to learn to make better decisions, your business does not need your husband or wife to make the decisions for you, your business needs you.

Each time you make a decision you will learn and gain experience.

That is the only way to develop confidence in yourself.

Before we continue I created an infographic that illustrates: 3 Mindset Shifts to go from employee to entrepreneur

3.Understand the cost of not moving forward

Usually, people do not realize that not making decisions is also a decision.

When you postpone the decision to promote your business online for a few months or years. In your mind, this might not seem serious since the business still survives and generates profits.

But in reality, it is pretty serious.

Because every day you lose customers, you lose sales and you lose the opportunity to learn about how to promote your business online.

Worst of all, every day that passes is a day you do not face your fears.

Meanwhile, your competition is learning and taking the lead.

This type of advantage is not something that you can recuperate from once you decide that it’s time to jump into the water.

That’s the kind of advantage that makes a huge difference.

Conclusion

All decisions involve risk and uncertainty.

Learning 3 Mindset Shifts to go from employee to entrepreneur is what will allow you to make better decisions.

Everything you are looking for is on the other side of fear.

This becomes evident when you ask the right questions, when you learn to trust yourself and when you understand that the most important thing is always to keep moving forward.

When you give up on your dreams, you are the only person who will live a life of regret. It

how to build a ceo mindset

Probably the last question you are asking yourself is: How to build a CEO mindset.

It may even be that you are not sure what I’m talking about.

One of the things I enjoy the most is that I have the opportunity to have conversations with entrepreneurs from all over the world.

The truth is that I learn a lot from these conversations.

Moreover, these conversations give me clarity about the challenges that business owners face every day and need to overcome.

I could see a recurring question that always stood out and kept coming back.

The question had to do with how to make better decisions in their business..

I have to be honest; when I started getting these questions, I wasn’t sure how to react to them.

At first glance, it seemed almost a philosophical question

You see, from my point of view, I specialize in online marketing, and how to make better business decisions sounds like a much bigger issue.

However, the questions kept coming.

So I started to talk more about the marketing decisions that people make every day, the problems that occur when they don’t make decisions, and even worse, the issues that arise when they make the wrong decisions.

After doing this for a few months, I could see that behind this question about how to make better decisions lies another problem.

Of course, much more significant.

How to build a CEO mindset in 3 steps simple steps (and get out of your own way)

As this is a topic of such interest, a few days ago, I decided to share with entrepreneurs who are part of my community, the lessons that I have learned. Experiences that have helped me change my way of thinking and have had a significant impact on the way I make decisions.

1. Start asking the right questions

I have been able to observe that when we do not know how to take the next step, and you do not know which direction to take, it’s because you are not asking yourself the right questions.

For example
Instead of asking the question: What is the probability that this works?

That is probably a tough question to answer.

Why not ask a question like the following:

  • Is this going to help me take a step in the right direction?
  • Will I learn anything by trying this?
  • Will it bring me a bit closer to my goal?

Practicing asking questions is the best exercise you can do in your business, not only because it will help you make better decisions, but also because it allows you to learn to see things from a new perspective every time.

2. Learn to trust yourself

If you are reading this, it is because you have a dream. The dream of growing your business or the goal of starting your own business. Neither of these two dreams will be possible if you have no confidence in yourself.

Think about it, for a business to be successful, it is necessary to make more good decisions than bad ones.

If this is true, for your business to be successful, you need to learn to make those decisions.

If you want to learn to make better decisions, your business does not need your husband or wife to make the decisions for you; your business needs you.

Every time you make a decision, you will learn and gain experience.

That is the only way to develop confidence in yourself.

Before continuing, I created an infographic that illustrates: How to build a CEO mindset (in 3 steps simple steps).

3. Understand the cost of getting stuck

Usually, people do not realize that not making decisions is also a decision.

When you postpone the decision to promote your business online for a few months or years, in your mind it seems nothing serious, you tell yourself the story that is not as bad as you know it is.

The problem is that it’s very serious and you are putting your business at risk.

Because every day you lose customers, you lose sales; you lose the opportunity to learn about how to promote your business online.

Every day, your competition gets more clients.

Worst of all, your fear to take the next step becomes bigger with every day that passes.

Meanwhile, your competition is learning and takes the lead.

This type of advantage is not something that you can catch up once you decide that it is time to jump into the water.

Giving your competitors this type of advantage can easily erase from the map.

Conclusion
All decisions have a risk and uncertainty component. Nowadays, if you want your business to succeed you need to learn how to build a CEO mindset. Learning to change your mentality from employee to CEO is what will allow you to make better decisions. Everything you are looking for is on the other side of fear. This becomes evident when you ask the right questions, when you learn to trust yourself and when you understand that the most important thing is always to keep moving. So are you willing to give the key of your dreams to your excuses? o Are you ready to become the CEO of your business?
