how to build a ceo mindset

Probably the last question you are asking yourself is: How to build a CEO mindset.

It may even be that you are not sure what I’m talking about.

One of the things I enjoy the most is that I have the opportunity to have conversations with entrepreneurs from all over the world.

The truth is that I learn a lot from these conversations.

Moreover, these conversations give me clarity about the challenges that business owners face every day and need to overcome.

I could see a recurring question that always stood out and kept coming back.

The question had to do with how to make better decisions in their business..

I have to be honest; when I started getting these questions, I wasn’t sure how to react to them.

At first glance, it seemed almost a philosophical question

You see, from my point of view, I specialize in online marketing, and how to make better business decisions sounds like a much bigger issue.

However, the questions kept coming.

So I started to talk more about the marketing decisions that people make every day, the problems that occur when they don’t make decisions, and even worse, the issues that arise when they make the wrong decisions.

After doing this for a few months, I could see that behind this question about how to make better decisions lies another problem.

Of course, much more significant.

As this is a topic of such interest, a few days ago, I decided to share with entrepreneurs who are part of my community, the lessons that I have learned. Experiences that have helped me change my way of thinking and have had a significant impact on the way I make decisions.

1. Start asking the right questions

I have been able to observe that when we do not know how to take the next step, and you do not know which direction to take, it’s because you are not asking yourself the right questions.

For example
Instead of asking the question: What is the probability that this works?

That is probably a tough question to answer.

Why not ask a question like the following:

  • Is this going to help me take a step in the right direction?
  • Will I learn anything by trying this?
  • Will it bring me a bit closer to my goal?

Practicing asking questions is the best exercise you can do in your business, not only because it will help you make better decisions, but also because it allows you to learn to see things from a new perspective every time.

2. Learn to trust yourself

If you are reading this, it is because you have a dream. The dream of growing your business or the goal of starting your own business. Neither of these two dreams will be possible if you have no confidence in yourself.

Think about it, for a business to be successful, it is necessary to make more good decisions than bad ones.

If this is true, for your business to be successful, you need to learn to make those decisions.

If you want to learn to make better decisions, your business does not need your husband or wife to make the decisions for you; your business needs you.

Every time you make a decision, you will learn and gain experience.

That is the only way to develop confidence in yourself.

Before continuing, I created an infographic that illustrates: How to build a CEO mindset (in 3 steps simple steps).

3. Understand the cost of getting stuck

Usually, people do not realize that not making decisions is also a decision.

When you postpone the decision to promote your business online for a few months or years, in your mind it seems nothing serious, you tell yourself the story that is not as bad as you know it is.

The problem is that it’s very serious and you are putting your business at risk.

Because every day you lose customers, you lose sales; you lose the opportunity to learn about how to promote your business online.

Every day, your competition gets more clients.

Worst of all, your fear to take the next step becomes bigger with every day that passes.

Meanwhile, your competition is learning and takes the lead.

This type of advantage is not something that you can catch up once you decide that it is time to jump into the water.

Giving your competitors this type of advantage can easily erase from the map.

Conclusion
All decisions have a risk and uncertainty component. Nowadays, if you want your business to succeed you need to learn how to build a CEO mindset. Learning to change your mentality from employee to CEO is what will allow you to make better decisions. Everything you are looking for is on the other side of fear. This becomes evident when you ask the right questions, when you learn to trust yourself and when you understand that the most important thing is always to keep moving. So are you willing to give the key of your dreams to your excuses? o Are you ready to become the CEO of your business?
